Do you see clients in-person or virtually?

I see clients virtually on select weekday evenings and have in-person appointments available for Portland, OR-based clients on Fridays. Virtual sessions are conducted on Zoom using a secure link.

Which presenting concerns and types of people do you see?

I specialize in trauma, personality disorders, mood disorders, and identity work and provide therapy for individuals ages 13+. I also offer limited couple/polycule and family therapy.

Which theoretical approach(es) do you use?

My training and primary therapeutic orientation is in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy, which are focused on insight, relational and behavioral patterns, and the subconscious. I am also trained in techniques from CBT, DBT, and CPT, which are behavioral orientations.

How long is an appointment?

An intake is 55 minutes and a regular session is slightly over 50 minutes.

What is your cancellation/no-show policy?

I have a 48-hour cancellation/no-show policy. After the first no-show or late cancellation, I charge a no-show fee equal to the full length of one out-of-pocket session.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I accept the insurance policies listed at the bottom of my home page in Oregon State only. I also offer sliding scale payment structures and can provide you with a superbill if you wish to try asking for insurance reimbursement for services in Oregon and New York.
